He wins the coveted Student Council President position within three months of arriving at Clark, starts the Marketing Club after one month as a student, and keeps a high GPA while participating in numerous other student activities. There’s no denying that Karan Gangwani, MBA candidate 2016, has already made an impact at Clark University’s Graduate School of Management.

With over 11 years of work experience prior to coming to Clark, Karan came to GSOM in spring 2015 to complete his MBA. GSOM has a Management Information Systems concentration within its MBA program, something his previous school did not offer. He feels his courses are preparing him well for what lies ahead.

“Business Intelligence, System Analysis and Design, and other courses at Clark have me proficient and ready for my future career,” Karan states.

Karan most recently worked at the well-known financial company Ernst & Young, where he was the team leader for various consulting projects. He managed a budget, ensured timelines were followed, and made certain projects were successfully completed on time and on budget. Due to his abundant work experience and Student Council activities, Karan is well known among his peers. He also holds a high profile graduate assistant job within GSOM’s Career Management Center on campus.

“GSOM is a close-knit community where everyone knows everyone. That’s what I love about this school,” he adds.

With less than two semesters remaining before being awarded his MBA, Karan is looking forward to the academic year ahead. After graduating, he plans to focus his career on business intelligence and information systems.
