Snowed in? You can still be sustainable!

With Worcester in the rankings as the snowiest city in the United States, here are some tips to help you stay sustainable in the snow:

  1. Get outside. Shoveling snow or just going for a walk are useful and keep you active!
  2. Grab a book. Here’s a suggestion of some good sustainability books.
  3. Learn some bike maintenance. Get your bike ready to go for spring! Cycles of Change offers open shop hours from 3 to 5:30 p.m. every Sunday in the Maywood Hall basement. (Like Cycles on Change on Facebook.)
  4. Snag a new-to-you outfit and check out the Valentine’s festivities at the Community Thrift Store.
  5. Try a new recipe. Use the extra time inside to teach yourself a new culinary skill, preferably one with a local or organic ingredient.
