Ph.D. student seeks volunteers for depression research

Have you been feeling stressed, sad, blue, or down in the dumps?
Have you lost interest in the things you used to enjoy?

Researchers at Clark University are seeking volunteers aged 18 or older to participate in a study of emotional wellbeing and frustration in people who are experiencing symptoms of depression. The study will take approximately two hours to complete, and will take place in Jonas Clark Hall at Clark University. The first part will involve an interview and questionnaires which ask about your emotions, past mental health history, and current feelings and behaviors. During the second part, we will record your physiological stress response while asking you to complete two laboratory tasks. Participation in this project is completely voluntary, and participants may withdraw from the study, or choose not to complete a task or questionnaire, at any time without penalty. Participants will be compensated $25 for their time.

This research is being conducted by Victoria Ameral, B.A., a doctoral student at Clark University, under the direction of Dr. Kathleen Palm Reed, a Research Assistant Professor at Clark.
