HEY YOU. You probably like to sing. That’s cool. The Clark Bars like to sing, too. Join us on Sept. 4 or 5 (you only need to come to one audition night) to audition for Clark’s premier co-ed a cappella group. And don’t you dare be nervous, it’ll be a fun time, we promise.
Signing up for auditions is simple. Look for The Clark Bars at the First Year Activities Fair, or whenever we may be tabling in the U.C. the week before auditions. We’ll have a sign-up sheet where you can reserve a 15 minute audition spot, just for you. You may also just show up at auditions, either day, and sign up for whatever free times are available.
The audition process goes a little like this. You’ll be asked to do pitch & melody matching, and then to sing a verse and chorus of two songs of your choosing. You may only be asked to sing one, but have another just in case. Choose songs that you think best showcase your ability to sing and perform solos.
Here are some awesome tips on how to prepare for an a cappella audition.
We’re all really excited to see some great new talent! If you have any questions, feel free to email Lloyd, our publicity manager. Good luck & see you at auditions!
