On March 17-18, Political Science Professor Mark Miller took 12 students to hear oral arguments at the Supreme Court of the United States.  The students also met with Judicial Fellows from the Administrative Office of the Federal Courts, the U.S. Sentencing Commission, the Federal Judicial Center, and the Supreme Court.

“This was a way for the students to see first-hand the workings of the Supreme Court and the federal court system.  It allowed the students to combine their classwork with real life experiences,” said Professor Miller. “The students applied for the trip, and there were many more applicants than seats available.”

The trip was sponsored by the Pre-Law Society, the Epstein Pre-Law Fund, the Harrington Fund in the Department of Political Science, the Law & Society Program, and the Dean of the College.
