The Clark community is invited to spend Wednesdays in the Garden

  • Wednesdays 5 to 7 p.m.
  • In Clark’s garden (located behind the president’s house; access from Woodland St.)

Clark’s on-campus garden, located in raised beds across Woodland Street from Estabrook, is in full swing. The garden debuted last year to grow organic food, and composts all garden waste on site. But here’s the best part: this summer, anyone can join Clark’s Urban Gardeners and reap the harvest!

So far we have planted  peas, radishes, lettuce, arugula, broccoli, tomaotes, eggplant, peppers (hot and sweet), green beans, kale, swiss chard, melons, summer and winter squash, onions and heirloom tomatoes — which are a specialty, with over 10 varieties in the ground.

Best of all, you can be a part of the fun! All summer we will gather to plant, weed, eat, harvest, learn from guest speakers, and play in the garden. See you there!
