“The People Speak” was inspired by Howard Zinn’s groundbreaking books “A People’s History of the United States” and “Voices of a People’s History of the United States.”
The film gives voice to those who spoke up for social change throughout U.S. history, forging a nation from the bottom up with their insistence on equality and justice.

The film will be preceded by a short talk by Jeff Zinn, son of the late great historian and writer. Mr. Zinn will also be on hand after the film for a Q-and-A.
