Prof. Ya-chen Chen

Professor Ya-chen Chen of the Foreign Language and Literature Department was elected a member of the board of the American Association for Chinese Studies (AACS), and will join her fellow board members at their annual meeting next year, which will be held at the University of Pennsylvania.

Her term as an AACS board member will officially begin on Jan. 1, 2011.

“I believe that my status as a board member of the AACS can help our Foreign Languages and Literatures department strengthen the academic ranking of our Chinese language program,” Prof. Chen said.
