March 20: Music program & Music Worcester present pianist David Kaplan in performance with violinist Caroline Shaw

  • Sunday, March 20 at 3 p.m.
  • Razzo Hall, Traina Center for the Arts

David Kaplan, a regular guest at the Chamber Music Society of Lincoln Center, joins forces with violinist Caroline Shaw, a recent winner of the music Pulitzer Prize and Grammy Award. This concert will include Schumann’s classic “Davidsbündlertanze” for piano, as well as “New Dances of the League of David,” a piano suite that mingles short works by leading American composers (including Augusta Read Thomas, Gabriel Kahane, Caroline Shaw, and Marcos Balter) with Schumann’s youthful masterwork.

This event is free with a Clark ID. Otherwise, tickets are $25; proceeds help to support all Worcester Music Guild projects, including “Music To Go,” the Hovenesian Prize of the annual Young Artist Competition.

This program is presented by Music Worcester in collaboration with the Music Program of Clark University
