Pres. David Angel to moderate Hanover Theatre discussion on renewable energy

The Hanover Theatre is proud to be leading the way as one of the largest performing arts centers in the country utilizing solar power for 80 percent of its electricity needs. To celebrate and highlight this new solar initiative we are partnering with the Institute for Energy and Sustainability (IES) to present an engaging and informative panel discussion focusing on one of this country’s most pressing issues, renewable energy. The event will be held on Sept. 12 at 5:30 p.m.

Moderated by Clark University President David Angel, guest speakers will include a representative from Prince Lobel, principals of the Hanover Solar Project who will be the lead speaker; John O’Dell, director of Worcester Energy; Vincent DeVito, IES executive director; and Debra Cary, director of Mass Audubon’s Broad Meadow Brook Conservation Center and Wildlife Sanctuary.

Learn more about what is currently taking place in the area of green energy, meet the businesses and individuals making a difference using alternative energy sources, and find out what resources are available to anyone interested in transitioning to renewable energy. After the presentation, there will be an opportunity to network with speakers and invited guests.

The theatre encourages all sectors of the community to attend. Whether you’re in business, academia, the public or nonprofit sectors, this important issue affects us all. Come be enlightened!
