Clark students participate in college Sustainability Roundtable

Six Clark students, along with Sustainability Coordinator Jenny Isler, attended a Sustainability Roundtable at Wellesley College on July 27.

“It was great to get together with my peers and talk about solutions to common problems that we have on all of our differnt campuses,” said Ya’ara Persing, a fifth-year CDP student in IDCE. Students and staff from over 16 colleges and universites participated in the day of dialogue and problem-solving. Particiapants explored challenges and solutions to communicating sustainability, environmentally friendly landscaping, and how to engage the entire community in sustainability initiatives.

A delicious outdoor lunch was followed by a walking tour, which included a multi-year bio-remediation project and stops at various “green” highlights on the Wellesley campus.

Other students at the Sustaianbility Roundtable  from Clark were Ben Gardner ’12; Sharon Bort ’13 ; Michelle Scott ’13;  graduate student Anthony Oduro; and graduate student Tung Huynh. All of these studdents are making a difference at Clark!
