The Grand Opening of the Main South Farmer’s Market is this Saturday, June 18! Farmer’s Markets will be held every summer Saturday at the YMCA on Main St. from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.

More than 28 farmers and vendors will offer their local, healthy food and hand-made items.  The market accepts cash, credit, debit, WIC and senior coupons; purchases made with SNAP (previously known as Food Stamps) are 50% off! Spread the word and buy local!

Farmers will be selling eggs, fruit, jams, pickles, a wide assortment of fresh vegetables, herbs, flowers and seedlings. YouthGROW Farm – operated by Main South youth – will be there selling their vegetables, too. Other treats include smoothies, home-baked goods, honey, cheese, and organic body products.

This Saturday, Jon Short will be playing from noon to 2 p.m., and there will be raffles for market gift certificates.
