Shrewsbury Media Connection’s “Arts and Ideas” program recently turned its camera lens on ClarkArts and the Visual & Performing Arts department. The program, which also airs on Worcester’s Channel 13, can be viewed on Shrewsbury Media Connection’s website.

The program is produced by Sue and Lou Swinand. Sue Swinand is a well-known artist; her husband Lou is a videographer.

The “Arts and Ideas” program on Clark examined the department in detail, including a segment on the current art exhibit in the Schiltkamp gallery, and interviews with Studio Art Associate Professor Elli Crocker and Associate Professor Matthew Malsky, chair of V & PA, who gave a comprehensive view of the department. In addition, Razzo Hall, in the Traina Center for the Performing Arts, was shown as a vibrant performing arts venue.

The Swinands also highlighted the department’s Theater Arts program, including interviews with student cast members of “Tales of the Lost Formicans” and with Associate Professor Gino DiIorio.
