The second safety forum of the year sponsored by Clark University’s Student Council and University Police will be held on Tuesday, November 12th at 4PM in the Traina Center, room 112. The focus at this forum will be on the issues facing students living off campus ranging from city ordinances on parking to personal and property safety.

Representatives will be there from Clark University Police, Worcester Police and Fire Departments, City of Worcester’s Inspectional Services, and Clark’s Student Council. Questions will be solicited from all in attendance, but the topics expected to be covered include: tips for keeping your property safe off-campus; reporting conflict with off-campus property and landlords to the city; off-campus social gatherings and how to avoid trouble with neighbors, Worcester Police, or outsiders crashing the party; city regulations on parking, trash collection, and noise ordinances; and fire safety in your apartment with the opportunity to get a free device that will monitor microwave ovens and shut them down before a fire occurs.

If you currently live off campus or may be considering a move to live off campus in the future, pleased attend this forum and get your questions answered. There will be free pizza!
