MBA Career Training Cohort

Dear Students,

I will be offering the MBA Career Training Cohort for first and second year students.  You can decide when to complete the training class during your program, but bear in mind that this class is a graduation requirement for all students who started the program as of Fall 2010.  You can register online through the CUWeb CRN #32019.  This cohort is highly interactive and contains several features that we think students will find appealing:

  • Exposure to working professionals in important content areas
  • Hands on practice of the most critical job search techniques (including networking, interviewing, informational interviewing, and much more)
  • A planned and organized approach to conducting your job search so you can stay on track
  • Smaller class sizes to facilitate more contact with your Career Advisor and fellow students

Important facts about the Career Training Cohorts:

  • One section offered in Module A in the Spring 2012 on Wednesdays from 10:00 a.m. – 12:00 p.m. (I will only be offering this class during Module A in the Spring – I already ran two sections in the Fall); I have not been assigned a classroom yet, so registered students will receive a follow-up e-mail regarding the classroom assignment.
  • The classes will be  for 7 weeks and classes begin on January 18th
  • This class is only for MBAs – Patti Kane will be offering a separate course for MSF students.
  • These classes are a graduation requirement for all students who started the program as of Fall 2010.  You can take the class anytime during your studies in the program, but you must be finished by the last day of classes in your final semester. Some students may be able to waive the requirement. If you think the waiver applies to you, please complete the waiver form and return it to me as soon as possible. You can pick up the form at Career Services, or print the form through the Clark Recruiter. Log in to the Clark Recruiter> go to Documents> go to Document Library > click on MBA MSF Waiver Form.

If you have any questions about the course or would like to sign up for Module A, please contact me directly at Cindy Richard crichard@clarku.edu
