Green Office Program Auditors

1-2 students; approx. 2-10 hrs./wk. Training provided; some knowledge and excellent interpersonal skills required. Make appointments and visit faculty & staff offices to perform sustainability audits using standard format questionnaire. Teach and inform office occupant about sustainable lifestyle choices and ways to reduce waste and energy consumption. Score audits and provide metric to occupant with certificate; build friendly competition between offices or individuals. Optimum for research/action project or resume building. Deliverable: 10 on-site audits plus distribution of Green Wheels.

Divestment Strategic Analyst

1-3 students with financial and/or investment experience; approx. 2-4 hrs./wk. as team. Research what divestment would look like for Clark. Identify actual current fossil fuel holdings and provide comparable investment alternatives. Address tension between divestment and relying on natural gas in co-gen. Draft cost-benefit statement across sectors. Deliverable: 3-4 pg. report, suitable for publication, plus attachments.
