Building a Sustainable Worcester – Free Event for Clark Students

Building a Sustainable Worcester
Tuesday, September 24, 5:30 – 7:30 pm
Hanover Theatre

In partnership with the City’s Worcester Energy Program & Mass Save, this event will explore the future of climate change and sustainability from both a global and local perspective.  As more downtown development projects take shape, now is the time to raise key question about the future growth and livability of Worcester. Questions like: How does Worcester drive sustainable growth and plan for intelligent traffic, green buildings, water management, smart grid infrastructure, etc.? What are some exciting initiatives/projects already taking places?  How are colleges playing a role? What will it cost?  How do we pay for it? How do we engage the community? Is the next jobs revolution in the environmental sector?

Event panelists will include:
Moderator: Linda Looft-WPI
John Odell-Worcester Energy, Edward White-National Grid
Melissa Lucas-UMASS Medical School
Steve Fisher, Regional Environmental Council

Due to Prism Energy Service’s sponsorship event tickets are complimentary (free) to members of the college community, but must be reserved.  To reserve online, use the code Partner or call the box office directly at 877.571.7469.
