MBA Career Training Cohort

The MBA Career Training Cohort will be taught twice in 2012-13—Fall Module B, Spring Module A.

Register here for Fall Module B, held on Wednesdays from 9:30-12:00 in Jonas Clark 101; October 24-December 12.  There is no class on Wednesday, November 21 in observance of Thanksgiving.

This class will be taught by Lisa Radomsky, Director of GSOM Career Services.  Lisa has over 20 years’ experience as a career coach, executive recruiter and trainer in corporate and university settings.

Overview: The purpose of the MBA Career Training Cohort is to provide in-depth career training to GSOM students for internship and job search, but also to last a lifetime.  Classes are highly interactive, with Career Services staff’s extensive experience woven into the content, making it relevant, interesting and ready to use immediately.  Here is the outline of the session topics:

  • Week 1:  Self Discovery—Career Exploration
  • Week 2:  Marketing Yourself—Personal Branding, Your Plan, Resumes & Cover Letters
  • Week 3:  Research & The Hiring Process
  • Week 4:  Networking—Informational interviewing, contacting employers & alumni, online resources—LinkedIn
  • Week 5:  Internship Search
  • Week 6:  Interviewing—Behavioral-Based, Practice
  • Week 7:  Take Action—Job Search, Salary Negotiation
