The SBDC is now interviewing for a finance grad assistant for the 2012-13 academic year. This assistantship is a unique opportunity for a graduate student to work in a client/consulting environment. Student will assist SBDC Director and Business Advisors in the following areas:
1. Client Financing Support
a. Financial Packaging – Assist advisors with preparation of client financial statements, financial forecasts, pro-forma statements and loan packaging/equity financing exhibits for client business plans.
b. Financial Analysis – Prepare historical financial statement analysis for use in acquisition analysis and forecasting future results.
c. Financial Modeling – Continue to improve financial models and develop new models as required.
2. Front Office Assistance – Back up for office manager (phones, booking appointments, computer support, etc.).
3. Special Projects – Can be tailored to background, skills andinterests of student, if time available.
The successful candidate will be a first year finance or accounting student with:
Prior work experience
Excellent interpersonal and English language skills
Outstanding knowledge of Excel
Knowledge of accounting principles
Available 20 hours/week, including summer part-time
Only students graduating in May 2013 and/or December 2013 will be considered for this position.
