Spring GSOM English & Culture Classes

GSOM is pleased to announce we will be offering two more courses this spring that will give students the opportunity to improve their communication skills as part of GSOM’s Language & Culture program.

Classes will begin the 2nd week of class (the week of January 23) and last 6 weeks. There will be a $100 course fee per course.

Students who successfully complete three courses in total in GSOM’s Language & Culture Program will earn a Certificate of Completion in the GSOM Advanced Professional Communication Program.

The classes will be:

Public Speaking – Tuesday, 10 – 11:30 am (6 weeks; begins January 23)

Speak Your Way to Success. Say it  so that you will get noticed in today’s workplace. Learn how to engage in meaningful conversations, interview well, speak to small groups and even larger audiences. Speaking is the cornerstone to your success in life.No one will notice you or your potential if you don’t articulate your ideas. This class will help you become a better speaker in your second language.Each class will give you an opportunity to use your “English” in meaningful ways.

American Culture – Friday, 10 – 11:30 am (6 weeks; begins January 27)

In this course we will explore a variety of topics about American culture, from holidays, shopping, and leisure time activities to regional diversity.  Each week we will cover another aspect of American culture.  You will have an opportunity to practice your English speaking skills while engaging in lively discussions about the U.S.
