Fellowship Opportunity for MBA Students

MBA students are invited to apply for the Morton H. Sigel ’51 Endowed Fellowship Award.  Established in memory of distinguished business leader and University trustee Morton H. Sigel ’51, the Sigel Fellowship is designed to provide financial support to a Clark MBA student with a strong academic background and a demonstrated commitment to community service.

This year, one MBA student will be selected to receive a Sigel Fellowship in the amount of $4,500.  To be considered for the Sigel Fellowship, you should have completed at least one semester in the MBA program, and submit the following materials by July 1 to Patrick Oroszko, GSOM Associate Director of Admissions, at poroszko@clarku.edu

1. Community service experience/work: Please provide a list of all activities that are related to your community service experience.  Relevant experience may be in volunteer or paid positions.  Please include the name of the organization, the type of activity, dates, and the amount of time spent in each activity (e.g. 10 hours per week or 20 hours per month, etc.)

2. Community service essay: Please discuss, in 500-1000 words, your view of the role and importance of business in the larger community.  Also, explain how you expect the knowledge you gain from your MBA to advance your ability to contribute to the community.

Announcement of the Sigel Fellowship recipient will be made by July 15.
