SPSS is one of the popular statistical software packages used by many data analysis practitioners. SPSS is easy to use and allows basic and advanced analysis techniques. Since firms need more detailed and meaningful information from the data they have, Excel is not sufficient for these needs. Effective managers should be able to perform both basic and advanced data analyses with more sophisticated software, such as SPSS, and interpret the results to make informed business decisions. In this workshop, we will learn the following:
- Overview of SPSS
- How to run basic analyses: frequency, descriptive analysis, cross-tab, graphs, and variable manipulation
- How to run t-test and ANOVA and interpret SPSS outputs
- How to run simple and multiple regression and interpret SPSS outputs.
This workshop is ideal for those students who have basic statistics knowledge (e.g., STAT 4005 or equivalent course) and want to learn how to use SPSS.
