On September 18 a group of 25 GSOM students spent an evening at Microsoft’s Cambridge office for the corporate giant’s inaugural Educational Sales Workshop. Organized through the GSOM Career Services office, the trip included students from the MBA, MSF, and MSA programs who were interested in learning more about Microsoft and their full-time sales opportunities.
The workshop offered an overview of Microsoft and its future strategic direction. Students were given a tour of the facility and provided a “day on the job” perspective from recent hires and senior sales executives through panel discussions, breakout sessions and informal networking. The evening also gave students the opportunity to experience various Microsoft roles and corporate culture in person, as well as leave their resumes for current and future job opportunities.
“We believe that cultivating employer relationships which provide additional networking and potential job opportunities for our students is important,” stated Peter Bennett, GSOM director of career services and external relations. “With Boston less than an hour away, it makes sense for us to take part in these types of special events. We’re looking forward to more in the near future.”
