Clark’s 2017 recycling and diversion rates

We have tracked our recycling and diversion rates at Clark since 2011. Recycling rates are based on the total of all waste streams and recyclable items like paper, plastic, metal, and glass. Diversion rates are based on total waste streams and recycling commodities, plus everything the university does not send to the landfill (compost, donations, e-waste, etc.)

Recycling rates in 2017 increased by 3% from spring to fall semesters, but diversion rates decreased by 1%! Way to go Clarkies!
