Recycling rates continue to rise at Clark

RecyclingRateThe recycling and diversion rates are in for 2014. Check out the charts here to look at the trends since 2011, when Clark ramped up efforts to increase recycling across campus.

You may be wondering: What is the difference between recycling and diversion? While recycling accounts for all of those items that can be placed in designated recycling bins, diversion measures how much of Clark’s total waste is kept from going to the landfill. This amount is higher than the recycling rate because it also includes the amount that Clark composts in the dining hall and residence halls.

Way to go, Clarkies!
