Net Impact Calls for Application for three Leadership Positions

We are currently accepting applications for the following leadership positions for the 2016 – 2017 academic school year from now until Sunday, March 20th:

  • President
  • Vice President of Internal Relations
  • Vice President of External Relations

If you are interested in a position, please submit a resume and a brief paragraph of interest indicating why you are interested in the position, skills/new ideas you bring to the table, and how this might benefit your professional development to clarku@netimpact.org by Sunday, March 20th. Any graduate student is eligible to apply for a position, regardless of past membership in Net Impact. The leadership team typically meets 2 – 4 time per month and it is expected that you try to attend events as your schedule allows.

President

This position ensures that chapter requirements are being met, plans leadership team meetings, and maintains records of chapter events and expenses.

Duties:

  • Hold monthly leadership team meetings to plan chapter events.

  • Update the chapter Google Drive with important chapter resources, budget information, and meeting agendas.

  • Communicate with the chapter faculty advisor, Will O’Brien, and Director of Student Services, Laura Burgess, about upcoming chapter activities.

  • Assist with execution of all member events and priorities as needed.

  • Assist with the planning and execution of the Boston Career Summit in Spring 2017.

VP of Internal Relations

This position coordinates on-campus member events, which have included film screenings, panel discussions, social gatherings, and the orientation information session.

Duties:

  • Plan events to engage current members and attract new members to chapter.

  • Order food and submit room reservations for events .

  • Act as a point person for visitors to campus.

  • Attend monthly leadership team meetings and assist with other events as needed.

VP of External Relations

This position facilitates connections between Clark students and the Worcester community, as well as coordinating external communication.

Duties:

  • Act as the point of contact for other professional and student chapters

  • Reach out to local organizations and communicate about potential volunteer or consulting opportunities

  • Organize volunteer and service learning events for members

  • Act as the marketing manager for the national conference (held in early November), communicate with chapter members about attending the conference

  • Attend monthly leadership team meetings and assist with other member events as needed
