Research Talk with Dr. David Correll – “Diversity and Flexibility in Sustainable Supply Chain Design”

“Diversity and Flexibility in Sustainable Supply Chain Design”

What supply chain design lessons can we learn from observation of the natural world? In this series of papers, one lesson gleaned from nature, input diversity, is modeled and tested for the biorenewables fuels industry. This work has thus far been published in the journals International Journal of Production Economics, and Biomass & Bioenergy.

When: Tuesday, September 23, from 12 – 1 pm
Where: Carlson 231
Who:David Correll earned his Ph.D. in supply chain management from Iowa State University and joined the GSOM community this Fall. His research applies elements of operations research and ecology to envision and test new ideas for sustainable supply chain design.
