Join the GSOM Community for the annual Maurry and Julie Tamarkin Barbecue on Friday April 25, 2014! This GSOM tradition began years ago with Professor Emeritus Maurry Tamarkin, and we continue it on campus today!

Come celebrate and relax with your friends after a hectic week of finals.  Enjoy burgers, fruit, and ice cream sundaes. And get to know the new leaders of the GSOM Student Council, who will be responsible for the grilling! All GSOM students, faculty and staff are welcome!​

Political Science/IDCE sponsor discussion of internships, career opportunities in diplomacy

“Discussing Internships and Career Opportunities in Diplomacy”

This talk will be followed by a Q&A session for students who might be interested in pursuing careers in the Foreign and Civil Service. Internships and career opportunities are limited to U.S. citizens, but all students are welcome to attend the discussion.

Evyenia Sidereas joined the U.S. Department of State as a Foreign Service Officer in 1999. Her wide-ranging overseas assignments have taken her to Thailand, Kosovo, Egypt and Iraq. Most recently, Ms. Sidereas has served in Washington, DC as a Senior Watch Officer in the Department’s Operations Center, and as Acting Director of the Maghreb Affairs Office, coordinating the State Department’s policy development on North Africa.

A native of Chicago, Ms. Sidereas attended DePaul University, and obtained her master’s degree from the London School of Economics. Prior to joining the Foreign Service, Ms. Sidereas was a research assistant at a non-governmental organization working to promote human rights. She speaks Greek and Arabic.

Refreshments will be provided; free and open to all in the Clark community.

Donate to the ‘Worcester: The City that Reads’ annual book drive

Each year Clark participates in the annual “Worcester: the City that Reads” book drive.

Bring your old books to the LEEP Center and all will be donated to the Worcester Public Schools!

Please make sure books are appropriate for grades kindergarten through eighth grade. Deadline to bring in your books is May 7! 

This event is in collaboration with the Worcester City Council and part of a citywide effort.
