What’s happening in GSOM and Clark this week?

Dress for Success by CWIB

Date: Friday April 11, 2014

Time: 1pm – 4pm

Venue: Greens (weather permitting), Grind (rain location)

Clark Women in Business would like to have your presence for ‘Dress for Success’ event. The Clark Thrift store is collaborating with the Dress for Success organization in a clothing drive. CWIB will be accepting the clothing donations for their cause. There will also be a BBQ for the students to enjoy!

The event will also include a brief talk given by Dress for Success’s Beth Butler and lunch for those who attend. This is also a great opportunity for students to find out about this local nonprofit organization and volunteer options.

Come to the CSC Open CollabLab in the Lurie Conference Room on Monday, April 14 at 7 p.m. to learn more or check out the Earth Week Calendar of Events.

Active Shooter Training

Date: Monday April 14, 2014

Time: 2pm

Venue: Jefferson 320

In an ongoing effort to keep the Clark University community educated in safety related matters, students are invited to attend a training session on how to survive an active shooter situation.  While the training focuses on a university setting, the information presented in the program can be applied to any active shooter situation.  While the possibility of an active shooter at Clark is remote, knowing how to react to an active shooter situation will increase your chances of responding properly should such an incident occur.   The primary presenter of the program will be Clark University Officer Efrain Diaz, who has extensive training in active shooter response.
