REMINDER: Fellowship Opportunity for MBA Students – Apply Now!

MBA students are invited to apply for the Morton H. Sigel ’51 Endowed Fellowship Award. Established in memory of distinguished business leader and University trustee Morton H. Sigel ’51, the Sigel Fellowship is designed to provide financial support to a Clark MBA student with strong academic background and a demonstrated commitment to community service.

This year, one MBA student will be selected to receive a Sigel Fellowship in the amount of $4,500. To be considered for the Sigel Fellowship, you should have completed at least on semester in the MBA program.

Students must submit their application materials by 4pm on Friday, March 15th to Laura Burgess, GSOM Director of Academic and Student Services at gsomstudentservices@clarku.edu. The recipient of the award will be chosen by GSOM faculty and staff following a review of all application materials.
To apply, students should submit one document that includes:

1. Community services experience/work. Please provide a list of all activities that are related to your community service experience. Relevant experience may be in volunteer or paid positions. Please include the name of the organization, the type of activity, dates, and the amount of time spent in each activity (e.g. 10 hours per week, or 20 hours per month, etc.)

2. Community service essay: Please discuss in 500-1000 words, you view of the role and importance of business in the larger community. Also, explain how you expect the knowledge you gain from your MBA to advance you ability to contribute to the community.

Announcement of the Sigel Fellowship recipient will be made at the Beta Gamma Sigma Honors event on May 16th, 2013.
