The American Wind Wildlife Institute (AWWI) seeks a second year MBA student to develop a business plan to bring AWWI’s tools and services to market – specifically, the Landscape Assessment Tool (LAT), pilot Research Information System (RIS), and perhaps one other. (See AWWI’s initiative’s: http://www.awwi.org/initiatives/) The successful candidate will report to AWWI’s Director of Development and work closely with her and other AWWI staff to complete the project. The business plan must be developed with the consideration and concerns of AWWI’s not-for profit and for-profit Partners and Friends. Expected Outcomes:
- Interviewing Partners and Friends
- A thorough market analysis report.
- A detailed business development plan highlighting: necessary organizational changes, marketing strategy, and product pricing.
- A performance measurement strategy.
- Power point presentation outlining the market analysis and a business plan.
AWWI is located in Washington, DC, and Burlington, VT, but the successful candidate will work remotely based at his/her location.
Duration: Autumn 2012 academic semester, for approximately 10 weeks. (time period is flexible)
Compensation
- This position will be compensated with a paid stipend and commensurate with experience.
- Position will facilitate valuable networking opportunities between the MBA intern and influential business leaders across the clean energy and wildlife conservation (NGO) sectors.
