You are invited to hear this week’s guest speaker, Christopher Fortunato, currently Dean of Students at the Harvard Kennedy School and a clinical social worker. He will provide helpful tips on starting a non-profit organization and positioning yourself to advance your career. He founded a non-profit organization, Teen REACH, and has been working with students for many years by providing guidance and assistance. Refreshments will be served! See you there!

Christopher Fortunato, JD, LCSW is currently the Dean of Students at the Harvard Kennedy School (HKS) and a clinical social worker. Dean Fortunato is a graduate of Harvard College, Harvard Law School and the Boston University School of Social Work and attended Oxford University. Prior to his appointment as Dean of Students at HKS, Dean Fortunato served as Dean of Students and Acting Vice President for Student Affairs at Providence College. Before entering higher education, Mr. Fortunato served as Vice President of Student/Youth Services at Newton Community Service Centers in West Newton, MA where over the course of a decade, he created and led Teen REACH, a comprehensive non profit students/adolescent services organization providing academic, social, recreational, therapeutic and leadership development programs for middle, high school, and college students from Newton, Needham, Wellesley, Waltham and other surrounding towns. He provides expert consultation and training students, families, public school systems and colleges on topics including student development, alcohol and drug abuse prevention, intervention, career and graduate school advising, student involvement and more. He continues to support area youth services initiatives including serving on the Newton Youth Commission.
