“Blue Tent,” a short play by Prof. Gino DiIorio, will be one of 50 works (10 minutes each) performed as part of the Boston Theatre Marathon on May 8. “Blue Tent” is slated to be onstage between 2 and 3 p.m.
Prof. DiIorio is the Andrea B. and Peter D. Klein Distinguished Professor at Clark as well as the chair of the Visual and Performing Arts Department. He is also director of the Theatre Arts Program.
The Boston Theatre Marathon is a program of the Boston Playwrights’ Theatre and is part of ArtWeek Boston. Also participating in the daylong event is the award-winning Company One Theatre, which was founded (and is still run) by Clarkies.
Net proceeds from ticket sales benefit the Theatre Community Benevolent Fund, which provides financial support to theatres and artists in times of need.
