Professor Janette Thomas Greenwood of the History Department was a Special Lecturer at Tsurumi University, Yokohama, Japan, from September 28 through October 2, as part of its International Exchange program. She gave two lectures, “‘A Dream Deferred’: The African American Struggle for Equality After the Civil War” and “‘To Know the Heart and Mind of America’: Using Baseball to Teach U.S. History,” and met with students and professors in Tsurumi’s Department of English and American Languages and Literature.
