International students’ perspectives on recycling & waste: April 17, IDCE House

Posted by Jenny Isler | Posted on Apr 14, 2013

Everyone in the Clark community is invited to this very special event on Wednesday,  April 17 at 7 p.m. at IDCE House, Conference Room D. This first-ever storytelling event is sponsored by Sustainable Clark and organized by Yue Sun ’14.

Recycling, zero waste, landfill, garbage, upcycling — we know it matters, but what do these words really mean? What do they mean outside the U.S.? The U.S. sends boatloads of “waste” to countries that may see things very differently. Come get another perspective — learn and share — as Clark international students from at least five countries tell their own stories about what happens at home with garbage and “recycling.” Stories, cookies and eye-opening conversation!
