Two groups of Clark University students presented their leading-edge sustainability initiatives with posters and speeches at the recent Student Sustainability Roundtable, an all-day interactive event held at Hampshire College.
The Clark Community Thrift Store was represented by J. Michelle Scott’13 and Evelina Rossi ’13, while the SSF-funded Residential Hall Clark Composts! Program was led by Kerry Burke ’15.
The conference was sponsored by MSSCOR and Second Nature, and featured 15 student presentations from Massachusetts colleges and universities. Following short presentations, all of the Roundtable participants ‘speed-dated’ at the posters that interested them, engaging in five-minute conversations with the students. The Thrift Store and the Composting Program had crowds of people wanting to learn more about Clark’s dynamic, student-led and institutionally supported sustainable innovations!
