DiIorio’s ‘CRIB’ to be read at Urban Stages Theatre on Oct. 15

Theatre Professor Gino DiIorio’s new play CRIB will be given a staged reading at the Urban Stages Theatre (NYC) on Monday, Oct. 15 at 6.30 p.m.

The reading will be directed by Clark adjunct professor Jeff Zinn and will feature actors Ami Brabson, Justin Lawrence, Andrea Gallo, and Jack Davidson.

CRIB deals with questions of race, scholarship, and mental illness. Tracy is an African American Professor in the midst of a tenure fight. Rajon is a star basketball player, negotiating the challenges of freshman year and his court prowess. When Rajon is accused of plagiarism and faced with expulsion, Tracy finds herself in the middle of an unwanted battle between academics and athletics.

Urban Stages Theatre is at 259 West 30th Street.

The reading is free and open to the public.
