News from GSOM: Master of science in finance program now STEM-designated

Dear GSOM Community,

It is with great pleasure that I announce the Master of Science in Finance (MSF) program now carries a STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics) designation. I commend the finance faculty who met and carefully reviewed the MSF curriculum in order to confirm its alignment with a new Department of Education program code. This new classification recognizes the quantitative rigor of our MSF program, consistent with STEM requirements.

We are excited about the potential opportunities this can provide for our current and future students, allowing some of them to work up to three years in the United States after graduation on Optional Practical Training (OPT) status. The Clark University International Students Office will be sending a notification to all current students soon about what the STEM designation means for them and the next steps in the I-20 updating process.

Sincerely,

Catherine Usoff, Dean, GSOM
